Why is blogging important?

Blogging is a way to keep in connect with others on the web and express your ideas and thoughts that could help inspire not just yourself but others. Another way to keep people up to date with current events going on in your life. As an artist I would want to keep the internet audience up to date with current projects that are related to my art.
